I have been photographing sun set (and rise) events at my summer home in Cape Cod since I can remember. Every day settings, for gathering around a table with friends to share a meal…each setting slightly different from the rest but sharing colors and patterns . Lobster feasts by the lake filled with those setting colors underscore my reason d’etre.

I fell in love with the potters wheel in 1971 when I went to an art school on an island off the coast of Sweden in the North Sea. I used a kick wheel taking weeks to center the clay. I still have 2 pieces I made there. Today my studio feels like a dream come. In between, I went to college and took classes with Regis Brodie the ceramics professor at Skidmore College. After graduating, I was his apprentice for 2 years. After a long gap, I create everyday settings for your every day dining and fellowship around the table.
